acknowledge another person’s feelings

Wednesday, Apr 29th, 2009 — Don’t fall into the trap of believing that you cannot appear strong and capable if you are vulnerable enough to feel the pain of someone else. You may incorrectly believe that you must find a solution, while avoiding the problem itself. An alternative approach, however, is to open your heart and allow yourself to feel the dilemma without attempting to fix it. Today, the best you can do is to listen and acknowledge another person’s feelings.
